Today Elder Holland did a LIVE fireside in good ole' St. George, UT. Jared, Velocity, Robyn, and I all went down to town to listen to it. When we got there we found out that babies weren't allowed. Apparently when you have a kid you can't do things. (Who would have thought that following the Lords' counsel and having a family and kids would mean not getting to go listen to his Elders..?) Well, after being rejected at the door we decided we would go home and watch it on TV.
One key thing that stood out to me about Elder Hollands talk was his story about the boy on the basketball team. One of the boys said that you "Check your religion at the door". Elder Holland was very clear about how you need to live your religion everyday, everywhere. Having a baby has made this very clear. It's amazing how much they pick up on. Velocity is learning everything that we do, she is very alert and loves to watch what we are doing. We hope to be the best example we can for her, especially since she has a mind of her own.
